New Delhi, May 31: The Congress on Thursday congratulated Narendra Modi on being sworn in as Prime Minister for the second time. Modi and his Council of Ministers on Thursday took oath in a grand swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
"Congratulations to PM Narendra Modi and his new Cabinet ministers. We wish them the best and look forward to working with them on the growth and development of India and all its citizens," the party tweeted.
Congress General Secretary Jyotiraditya Scindia also congratulated Modi and his Ministers. "I congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministers. I wish them the best in their endeavour to work for the development of our country and the safety of our people," Scindia tweeted.
The Congress General Secretary, who was In-charge of Uttar Pradesh (West), lost his traditional Guna seat in Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha polls. Congress has ended up with 52 seats against BJP's massive 303 seats in the polls.
