Ratlam, MP, May 13: Drawing the shaft of patriotism from his political quiver, Prime Minister Narendra Modi averred on Monday that on the one hand a gallant son of Ratlam – Lieutenant Commander Dharmendra Singh Chauhan – recently made the supreme sacrifice battling an inferno on board INS Vikramaditya whereas the ‘naamdar’ family used another aircraft carrier for a picnic in the past.
“When uncomfortable questions are raised, the Congress always shamelessly says, ‘It happened, so what?’ That is the party’s standard response to scams relating to the Bofors howitzer, the submarine, the helicopter, the Bhopal gas tragedy, the Commonwealth Games, the 2G spectrum and coal,” the visiting politician used – for the second successive day – Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s recent remark regarding the 1984 anti-Sikh disturbances as a slingshot to rain fire on political rivals while addressing an election rally here.
In response to this Congress ideology, the country is saying that the limit has been crossed vis-a-vis the party’s nepotism, dynasticism, casteism, cruel joke on the indigent and response to terrorism, the Premier said, adding that the Congress even shies of raising the slogan ‘Victory to Mother India’.
“The speeches of the ‘naamdar’ commence with unparliamentary utterances. Will India run on abuses or nationalism?” he wondered. (UNI)
