Kannur, Apr 17: AICC president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said the three key issues influencing the 2019 Lok Sabha elections would be destruction of economy and massive unemployment, farmers’ suicide and corruption of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Talking to newspersons on the sidelines of a leadership meeting of United Democratic Front (UDF) leaders of North Malabar, Mr Gandhi said, 'Congress and its allies will do well in the Lok Sabha polls and form the next government at the Centre. Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's allegations of the Congress supporting anti-nationals, he said, "It was the PM, who did the anti-national act of dividing the nation."

Mr Gandhi also said PM Modi should stop making excuses and answer the questions raised by the opposition related to massive unemployment, crippling of agricultural system and corruption made by the BJP-led NDA government. Mr Gandhi said, "We have an exemplary record in fighting against the forces that attack the nation. Thousands of Congress workers lost their lives in Punjab and North Eastern states in the attacks of anti-nationals like Maoists and terrorists".

AICC leaders Mukul Wasnik , K C Venugopal, Oommen Chandy, KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran, UDF candidates K Sudhakaran and Rajmohan Unnithan and top leaders of UDF from Kasargod, Kannur and Vadakara Lok Sabha constituencies also attended the leadership meeting. UNI
