New Delhi, Apr 14: The central government and the ruling BJP on Saturday blamed the Delhi government and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for the "violent incidents in Mayapuri" even as the Delhi Congress chief Sheila Dikshit condemned use of force by police and blamed BJP-led Centre and the MCD for sealing.

"Complete responsibility of today's unfortunate violent incidents in Mayapuri lies squarely on the shoulders of Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal and the incompetent manner in which his govt is running the affairs of Delhi. The CM, as usual, tried to pass the buck," BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Housing & Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted.

He said, "Today's action was a result of inaction. Shri Kejriwal & his govt should have paid heed to this matter which involves direct and indirect livelihood of nearly 60,000 hardworking citizens. He should have requested NGT for more time". "I want to make it clear that the matter of relocating nearly 800 polluting scrap industries is purely between NGT & Delhi Govt. The NGT had issued order in 2015, but the incompetent and clueless Delhi Govt did nothing on it for four years which angered the NGT".
Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari lodged a complaint against the AAP, with Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Delhi alleging sealing drive was being conducted selectively during imposition of model code of conduct.

"The use of police and para military for sealing on the day of Ram Navami shows Kejriwal is an enemy of festivals," he alleged. "Arvind Kejriwal who is blaming the Centre and criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi is exposed today as the Delhi Pollution Control Committee and local SDM, who conducted the sealing in Mayapuri, come under Delhi government," Mr Tiwari said.
