New Delhi, Apr 9: Apoorv Om, first deaf to become a partner in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Youth Forum 2019 Conference from India, has been invited by the United Nations to participate in its conference. Apoorv Om advocates policy for recycling and uses of waste paper which help in protecting climate and creating jobs as well. President of UN ECOSOC had invited India's National Award Winner Apoorv Om to give suggestions for protection of climate which is the topic in the upcoming UN High Level Conference on SDG Forum for climate action.
The conference is being held on April 8-9 at United Nations Headquarters, New York, according to a statement here.
The voice of youth in United Nations and UNESCO offers unparalleled regular and deaf children and youth free education of yoga, arts and crafts, and also creates awareness among them about the value of environment, natural resources in people's lives.
Om had participated in many conferences of the United Nations last year and raised issues about the problems of the youth and the specially-abled. His innovative artworks are exhibited in prestigious World Court, UNESCO, UN office at Geneva and Supreme Court of India Museum. (UNI)
