Rahul’s Road Show begins


Congress President Rahul Gandhi has submitted his nomination papers from the Wayanad parliamentary constituency in Kerala on April 4, Thursday morning at around 11.30 am. He submitted four sets of papers to the Wayanad District Collector.

Selected Congress leaders including Priyanka Gandhi were present. Soon after filing his nomination papers, he has left for the Congress office. The 2 kilometre distance to the DCC office is packed with people on both sides. Rahul and Priyanka accompanied by several Congress leaders are travelling in an open vehicle. Along with them in the vehicle are Ramesh Chennithala Leader of the Opposition in Kerala, Mullapally Ramachandran KPCC President, Oommen Chandy AICC secretary and former Chief Minister of Kerala, Kunhalikutty IUML leader and other DCC members. Happy and beaming both Rahul and Priyanka waved eagerly to the crowds as the road show proceeded.

The vehicle is moving at a very slow pace with massive crowds in front and on either side of the road. It is expected that the 2 kilometres distance will be covered in over an hour.
