New Delhi, Mar 31 : To address job crisis, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday promised that if voted to power in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, his party will fill all the Government vacancies by March 31, 2020.
Mr Gandhi promised that devolution of funds from the Center to each State Government for healthcare, education etc. would be linked to these vacant positions being filled.
In a post on social media, Rahul said, “Today, there are 22 Lakh job vacancies in Government. We will have these vacancies filled by 31st March, 2020. Devolution of funds from the Center to each State Govt for healthcare, education etc. will be linked to these vacant positions being filled.”
Filling up government vacancies is the latest in the line of promises made by the Congress president in the eventuality of his party coming to power in the Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier, the Congress president has announced to implement a minimum wages scheme through which Rs 72,000 per annum will be transferred into accounts of the poorest 20 per cent families in the country. He has also promised a host of incentives for youngsters looking to start their own businesses.
