It is a fact universally known that throughout history women have been treated unfairly and denied an equal status. This day, March 8, celebrates women and strives to achieve gender parity. International Women’s Day strives to place a spotlight on women all over the world and invoke collective action on ending the injustice that is prevalent even today.
Women today undoubtedly are in a better position than what they were a few decades ago. Credit for that goes largely to the women themselves who have been striving to improve their status in society as equals of their male counterparts.
