New Delhi, Mar 5 : The BJP on Tuesday flayed Opposition parties, including Congress leaders, for demanding proof of 'how many terrorists' had been killed in the February 26 air strikes by the Indian Air Force at Balakot in Pakistan.
"No country in the world has ever done such thing, asking for evidence to justify the air strikes. Congress is doing this for votes, it is destroying India's integrity for votes," BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad told mediapersons here.
Prasad pointed out that senior Congress leaders Kapil Sibal, P Chidambaram and Digvijay Singh had raised the questions. The Congress leaders had simply revealed "their thinking".
"Mr Digvijay Singh has reduced himself to such a low level that he even called the most heinous terrorist attack on 45 CRPF jawans an accident," Prasad said.
In his tweet, the Congress leader and "former Chief Minister of 10 years" described Pulwama terror attack as ‘dur-ghatana’ (accident).
Similarly, attacking Kapil Sibal, the BJP leader said the former Union Minister "follows foreign media a lot" and he is the same man - who went to London only to look for evidence that there were fault lines in the EVM machines in India.
