New Delhi, March 6: Amidst a political row over the impact of India’s air strikes on terror camps in Balakot region of Pakistan, Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Radha Mohan Singh said here on Wednesday that such questions were being raised by those who doubted the valour of Indian armed forces.
“Such statements may lower the morale of the armed forces and must be criticised,’’ he said at a press conference here.
The Minister’s reaction came when he was asked about his recent statement giving the number of deaths in the air strike as 400. No official figure of casualties has been released so far, while BJP President Amit Shah has put the figure at 250.
Opposition leaders have asked the government to give details of the air strike.
“Such questions are being raised by those who doubt the strength of our armed forces,’’ Singh said. (UNI)
