Mamata welcomes brave IAF pilot bhinandan Varthaman home

Kolkata, Mar 1 : West Bengal's Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today welcomed Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot Abhinandan Varthaman back home in India after being in the custody of Pakistan army for past two days.

"Welcome home #AbhinandanVarthaman Welcome home sweet home," Ms Banerjee wrote a one line on her Twitter account. A latest unconfirmed report from Attari-Oagha border said that the Pakistan government has handed over Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman to the Indian authorities.

On Wednesday before being held at PoK, the Indian pilot shot down a Pakistan F16, which came to attack Indian military installations. (UNI)
