New Delhi, Feb 28 : India Design Week's first edition of Spring Summer season will be held for two days from April 29-30.

The design week aims at giving platform by promoting artisans of art and craft, hand-loom which is on the verge of extinction, and also to promote young talent in the field of Fashion, Textile, Knitwear and accessories which is again an untouched segment.

The show will also have segment of display-cum-exhibition where in runway collection as well as other art and craft artisans will put their products to sell. The artisans and product displayed will showcase different variety of products from different part of India ie Himachal Pradesh to Kerala.

To support and encourage women empowerment, the India Design Week team will give 10 per cent of the total profit generated via sale to an NGO working for unprivileged women of the society.

The show will have catwalk shows along with the exhibition to showcase fashion, textile, knitwear, lifestyle and accessories designers and craftsman. The event will be interesting to see new talents, variety of crafts, culture coming together under one roof. UNI
