New Delhi, Feb 20: The Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council meeting was postponed till Sunday after some states opposed the meet through video conferencing.
Finance Ministers of six states, including Delhi, Kerala and Punjab, have asked Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to attend the 33rd GST meet physically as the meet has to discuss issues of real estate and lottery.
"Discussions on today's GST Council meet remain inconclusive," Mr Jaitley told a press conference here.
Now, the Fitment Committee of the GST would meet on Saturday and the GST Council meet on February 24, Mr Jaitley said.
However, the date for filing GSTR3B for January 2019 was extended for two days till February 22, the Minister said, adding that in Jammu and Kashmir, the GSTR3B for January 2019 can be filed till February 28.
Currently, the GST Council has 33 members, including Mr Jaitle
