CWC to meet Feb 26 to discuss current political scenario & preparations for 2019 poll

New Delhi, Feb 14: A meeting of the Congress working committee, the highest decision making body of the Congress, will be held on February 26 in Gujarat to discuss the current political situation and the preparations for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

According to a release by AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, 'it has been decided to hold a meeting of the Congress Working Committee on 26th of February 2019 at Ahmedabad, Gujarat to discuss the current political situation and the progress made for the upcoming General elections 2019.'

The meeting of the CWC, to be chaired by party president Rahul Gandhi follows recent meetings of the AICC general secretaries and state incharges and that of the PCC chiefs and CLP leaders, convened by the Congress president on February 7 and 9 respectively to review the preparations for the 2019 elections.
