Pranab to release book of Venkaiah Naidu’s speeches

New Delhi, Feb 13: After the President, it is Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu's turn to release a volume of his speeches.

The book, a compilation of speeches of the Vice President titled “Selected Speeches: Volume-1” will be released by former President Pranab Mukherjee at Vigyan Bhavan on February 15.

The book comprises selected speeches delivered by Mr Naidu at more than 400 meetings since his assumption of office on August 11, 2017. They provide an insight into his vision and perspective on a wide range of issues confronting the nation. During his interactions, he has been focusing on agriculture, youth and education, science and technology and culture.

Containing 92 speeches, the book is categorised into six broad sections - ‘Functioning of Legislatures’, ‘Nation and Nationalism’, ‘Polity and Governance’, ‘Economic Development’, ‘Media’ and ‘India and the World’. The Publications Division of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has brought out the compilation.

Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports and Information & Broadcasting , Col Rajyavardhan Rathore, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh and other dignitaries will be present on the occasion. (UNI)
