Amit Shah takes holy dip at Kumbh

Prayagraj, Feb 13: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah on Wednesday took a holy dip at Kumbh in the Sangam here along with Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

UP BJP president Mahendra Nath Pandey, UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Akhara Prishad President Narendra Giri and Mahamantri Hari Giri, Juna Akhara Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Awdheshanand Giri, President of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Nyas Mahant Dharmdas Maharaj, Yoga expert Swami Ramdev, Parmarth Niketan's Muni Chidanand and other seers from various Akharas also took a holy dip in the Sangam.

Mr Shah reached the Sangam around 1235 hrs where he first greeted the seers and then proceeded with them for a holy bath.Following the dip, the BJP national president also took part in the 'Ganga Aarti' along with the other people.

Mr Shah will further visit Akshay Vat and Saraswati Koop, following which they will pay obeisance to the famous Lord Hanuman of Prayagraj.Further in the itinerary, Mr Shah is expected to have lunch with Swami Awdheshanand Giri Maharaj and later meet seers and 'mahatmas' of various Akharas.UNI
