Jammu, Feb 5: In yet another incident of ceasefire violation, Pakistan fired shells along the bordering villages close to the Line of Control in Krishna Ghati Sector of Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
"At about 1030 hours, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation along the LoC by firing two shells from Rocket Launchers in Krishna Ghati Sector of District Poonch," a defence spokesman here said.
Pakistan earlier on January 27 violated ceasefire by firing unprovoked in Poonch district.
There was no exchange of sweets between Indian and Pakistani Armies on the LoC on Republic Day even.
Pakistan continued its nefarious activities along the LoC on January 24 and 25 also as they resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing small arms and also shelled mortars in Mendhar Sector of Poonch.
Earlier on January 20, Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire along the international border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua while BSF troops responded with mild fire.
On January 18 too, Pakistan had fired with small arms and violated the ceasefire along the international border.
Earlier on January 15, a BSF jawan had attained martyrdom in sniper fire from across the border along the international border in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
Pakistani Army has opened a new front along the Line of Control and been firing unprovoked for the past two weeks in Poonch and Rajouri sectors. (UNI)
