Kolkata, Feb 04 : Stepping up attack on the Narendra Modi Government from her dharna site, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday thundered that the Modi government has taken away democratic rights.
Addressing Krishak Sabha over mobile from dharna site, Ms Banerjee alleged that the farming community's sleep has been snatched by the Modi government. "Farmers are committing suicides because of the Centre's policies. To help farmers, Bengal won't take help from the Centre," she said.
"The chief minister said," Farmers are the worst sufferers of demonetization. 12,000 have committed suicide due to wrong policy of Modi-led government. "Modi babu is taking credit of central schemes. We are bearing the expenses and he is taking the credit and publishing his photos, " she averred.
Ms Banerjee remained firm on continuing with her indefinite satyagraha at Metro channel to protest the move of the CBI to question Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajeev Kumar.
Earlier, Ms Banerjee said,' My agitation is to save democracy, Constitution and the country and my struggle will continue till the situation is resolved.' (UNI)
