Kochi, Jan 29: Virtually kicking off the Congress election campaign in Kerala, the party president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday made a scatting attack on the Narendra Modi government and alleged that Mr Modi was the most corrupt Prime Minister.
Addressing a gathering of booth presidents and vice presidents of the Congress party here, Mr Gandhi charged that Mr Modi was extending help to his 'friends' rather than extending benefits to the poor people in the country.
He said during the five years of the Modi Administration every single institution of the government has been attacked. "Four judges of the Supreme court came out and said we (the judges) are not allowed to work and even named a judge.’’
Asked about what message was given to the country by them with their action, Mr Gandhi said "they were trying to give a message that Mr Narendra Modi and Mr Amit Shah were not letting them work. They were trying to give a message that Mr Modi and Mr Shah were not letting the Supreme Court to function.’’ (UNI)
