The BSP honcho said that after losing touch with the common people due to its failure in addressing the issues of the poor, inflation, unemployment and illiteracy as well as the unsuccessful stint at the much talked about ‘development’, the government was left with the last resort of using its political weight in the Ayodhya issue and other religious matters.

Launching a scathing attack on the BJP, Ms Mayawati said that the people of the country were oppressed and fed up of this kind of politics which was not in the interest and welfare of the people.
