Ram Shrine: VHP eyes on Prayagraj confab

Agency News

Indore, Jan 28: Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) President VS Kokje averred on Monday that the decision of a two-day Dharm Sansad, commencing on Thursday in Prayagraj, is awaited regarding the Ram temple issue.

“The VHP shall take a resolution on the basis of that gathering’s pronouncement,” he said.

On erstwhile VHP leader Pravin Togadia’s recent statements, Mr Kokje said that Dr Togadia and the Parishad dovetail in principle vis-a-vis the shrine but his claim regarding temple construction to be started within seven days of his party – which is to contest every parliamentary constituency – assuming the reins at the Centre, appears unjustifiable.

In the context of Mrs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra being appointed Congress General Secretary, he quipped, “She was never outside the political sphere; a person born in the Gandhi family enjoys the right to enter politics.”

Regarding the Rafale deal, Mr Kokje said that if the Congress is in possession of evidence to substantiate its allegations then it should move court. (UNI)
