Prime Minister Narendra Modi late on Tuesday offered prayers at the Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple in Thiruvananthapuram.

Attired in the traditional Mundu, Modi inaugurated the multi-crore developmental works undertaken as part of the Centre's Swadesh Darshan scheme to improve basic facilities in and around religious institutions.
He unveiled a plaque on the ‘Development of Spiritual Circuit: Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple-Aranmula-Sabarimala’, project.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Minister of State for Tourism Alphons Kannanthanam and Shashi Tharoor, MP, were among those present then.
