New Delhi, Jan 8: The government is committed to ensure five per cent of women enrollment in all central police organisations and 14-15 per cent enrollment of women in CISF and CRPF, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said in Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Answering to supplementary questions from NCP member Supriya Sule, the Minister said in general the government is committed to increase the percentage of women in central police forces.
He said the performance of women police force both in the central government organisations and also at the state level has been quite satisfactory.
National Conference member Farooq Abdullah wanted to know the numbers of suicides in police force for denial of leave.
Replying to him, the Minister said in last four and half years, there has been improvement in 'satisfaction' level among the police force due to various measures taken by the government. (UNI)
