Agency News

New Delhi, Jan 7: Accusing the Narendra Modi government of attempting to destroy the state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics limited to benefit Anil Ambani's company, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said salary crunch would lead HAL's best scientists and engineers to move to the Anil Ambani's venture.

In a post on social media, Rahul said,'That HAL doesn’t have enough cash to pay salaries, isn’t surprising. Anil Ambani has Rafale. He now needs HAL’s brilliant talent pool to deliver on his contracts. Without salaries, HAL’s best engineers & scientists will be forced to move to AA’s venture.#SaveHAL.'

Mr Gandhi and other Congress leaders have been attacking the Modi Government on reports that HAL is forced to borrow Rs 1000 crore from the market to pay salaries to its staff.

They have charged the defence minister of lying in Parliament that HAL has got Rs one lakh crore worth of defence contracts. (UNI)
