New Delhi, Dec 20 : Amid the height of Congress claims that it is keeping the election promise and has waived farm loans in states like Madhya Pradesh, BJP president Amit Shah has sought to suggest that the Congress state government is only indulging in "jugglery" of figures.
"They should make it clear what is total amount of farm loan waive....If the loan was Rs 10,000 crore for instance; the Congress government should make it clear, whether the loan waive is Rs one crore or two crore....If they do not, we will bring out the figures," BJP chief Amit Shah has said in a television programme.
BJP chief maintained the announcement made by the Kamal Nath ministry was negligible as the state government has said the loan waive is for loans effective financial year 2017-18. "By now - that is March 2018, many farmers have already repaid their loan amount," he said.(UNI)
