New Delhi, Dec 8 : Supreme Court on Friday rejected a PIL seeking action against Finance Minister Arun Jaitely alleging that he wanted to "plunder" capital reserve of RBI to waive off loan of certain companies.
A division bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi rejected the PIL filed by lawyer ML Sharma and slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on him for filing the frivolous PIL.
Attorney General KK Venugopal told the bench that the apex court should frame certain parameters as to what should be there in a PIL.
The Apex Court came down heavily and slammed Sharma for filing the frivolous PIL against Mr Jaitley and slapped a fine of Rs 50,000 on him. UNI
