Union minister Nitin Gadkari fainted on stage on Friday while participating in an event in Maharashtra's Ahmednagar.
Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao, who was also on the stage, caught hold of Gadkari. Gadkari was immediately taken to a hospital and later discharged from the hospital. The minister later left for Shirdi.
He also posted a message on Twitter saying that he is doing well and that he fainted because of low blood sugar. Gadkari was in Ahmednagar for the convocation ceremony of the Mahatma Phule Agricultural University.
Gadkari addressed the ceremony and returned to his seat. A few moments later when Gadkari stood up for the national anthem, he suddenly fainted and almost fell down.
