Yechury criticises Yogi Adityanath for ‘communal’ speeches, says hate atmosphere in UP

New Delhi, Dec 5 : Criticising Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the mob lynching of police inspector Subodh Kumar Singh in Bulandshahr, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Wednesday said that the latter’s 'communally provocative' speeches has made the atmosphere of hate in the state.

“Communally provocative speeches being made by UP CM Adityanath have also created an atmosphere for the mobs to act with impunity”, Mr Yechury said in a tweet.

Criticising RSS for the incident, Mr Yechury said that “as Sardar Patel then said, this is the ideology that killed Gandhi. Nothing has changed in 70 years in the way the RSS and its proxies operate”.

He demanded to take firm action against those communal organisations that killed Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh.

The party’s Polit Bureau alleged that there is conspiracy behind the violence and that sudden eruption of violent protests took place on the pretext of cow slaughter due to carcasses found in dubious circumstances in a village in Siana area and added that “this fits in with the pattern of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and other Hindutva outfits instigating communal tensions”.

The party alleged that such incidents are planned in view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. (UNI)
