Former Minister and mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy has gone mysteriously missing from Tuesday onwards, says a report by NDTV.
Earlier, some media reports from Karnataka said Janardhana Reddy has gone absconding as the Bengaluru Central Crime Branch (CCB) police were on the lookout for him after his name emerged during the probe of a multi-crore Ambidant scam case.
It was also reported that the cops establish Reddy’s link to Ambidant fraud in which many investors were duped. Some sources said that the police move against Reddy have intensified once Congress-JDS coalition government came in power in Karnataka. And some added that the Reddy brothers of Ballari was the creation of BJP government under the leadership of Yeddyurappa.
On Tuesday’s byelection in Ballary, Reddy brothers’ close aide Sriramulu’s sister was defeated for a massive majority by the Congress candidate. If byelection result is anything to go by, Ballary, once the bastion of Reddy brothers with the aid of former Karnataka CM Yeddyurappa has already shifted to the Congress camp.
