New Delhi, Oct 14: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who was undergoing treatment for advanced pancreatic ailment here at AIIMS, was on Sunday discharged from the hospital.
Sources said that Mr Parrikar's health condition deteriorated on Sunday morning following which he was shifted to intensive Care unit (ICU) but was discharged later.The Chief Minister, who has been unwell for past few months, was admitted to AIIMS on September 15.
Parrikar was admitted to AIIMS after he returned from the US, where he was undergoing treatment for the same. It may be mentioned that the principal Opposition Congress on Saturday had demanded that Parrikar should step down as Goa Chief Minister and allow its party to prove its majority on the floor of the State Assembly.
