Pune, Oct 13: In the regions from where the southwest monsoon has withdrawn, day temperatures were appreciably above normal Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada and of Vidarbha and were above normal in some parts of Gujarat Region, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh and of north interior Karnataka.
They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Jharkhand and in some parts of Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha and of Bihar and were
appreciably below normal in some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir and in remaining parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha and of Bihar and were below normal in some parts of west Uttar Pradesh, west Rajasthan, and of Madhya Pradesh.
They were normal over the rest of the region.The maximum temperature recorded was 40.4°C at Bhuj (Saurashtra and Kutch). (UNI)
