Akhilesh Yadav’s convoy accused of breaking code of conduct in Khajuraho

Chhatarpur, MP, Oct 9: A fine of Rs 10,500 was slapped on 17 vehicles – en route to take part in Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav's convoy in Khajuraho yesterday – for violating the Model Code of Conduct.

Transport Officer Vikramjeet Singh said that the vehicles displayed banners, posters and flags in violation of the poll code. The action was taken at Naugaon Road in Chhatarpur. After the incident, Akhilesh Yadav was trolled heavily on social media under the topic ‘Kaun Banega Mukhyamantri’. Around 17 convoy vehicles broke the election code of conduct in Khajuraho by flaunting with name plate and Samajwadi party flags without permission.

Likewise, fine was imposed on seven vehicles for exhibiting SP banners, posters and other material in Khajuraho. (UNI)
