Now, VHP urges PM for new law on Ram temple

New Delhi, Oct 5: Days after the Supreme Court ordered that mosques need not be central to Islam, the influential Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to call a joint session of Parliament to bring in a law to ensure early construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya.

"VHP is waiting for the court judgment, that's true. But it is taking time. So we are asking for bringing in a law to build the Ram temple,” VHP working president Alok Kumar said here.

"We hope a new law can be brought in during the winter session of Parliament. Of course, an ordinance is also possible," he said. (UNI)
