New Delhi, Oct 3: The Maharashtra government on Wednesday approached the Supreme Court against a Delhi HC order which had directed release of human rights activist, Gautam Navlakha, in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon case.
Maharashtra government, was supposed to mention this before the Supreme Court at noon. The new Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, refused to hear any mentioning, before it could mention anything on this.
Delhi High Court had in its October 1, Monday, order set free Navlakha. The apex court had on September 28 declined to interfere in the investigation against five alleged urban naxals and asked them to approach the trial court for relief. UNI
