Mayawati rejects Congress alliance in Rajasthan & MP

Delivering a big blow to the opposition parties Mahagathbandhan dreams, BSP leader Mayawati has said on Wednesday that her party won’t make alliance with Congress in the coming Assembly elections in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

“BSP will fight Assembly elections in Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh on its own, no alliance with Congress,” she said. Attacking congress in the press conference, she said that the Congress leader Digvijaya Singh is an RSS agent. ““Congress leaders like Digvijaya Singh do not wish for a Congress-BSP alliance. They are afraid of agencies like ED, CBI,” she said.

Clarifying her stand on Digvijay Singh’s blame, she said: “Digvijaya Singh who is also a BJP agent is giving statements that Mayawati ji has a lot of pressure from Centre so she doesn’t want this alliance. This is baseless,”

Rejecting the secular narrative of Congress, she has blamed that the Congress is scared of giving ticket to Muslims. “Congress plays cast and communal politics. Congress will be punished by people for corruption. Congress has failed to do any introspection,” Mayawati said. (PenNews with input from UNI)
