Pak chopper violates Indian air space, Army fires small arms

Jammu, Sep 30: A Pakistani chopper on Sunday violated air space on the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"A Pak helicopter this afternoon violated air space at around 12.13 hours in Gulpur, Poonch," defence sources here said. They said that the helicopter crossed the LoC towards Indian side in the Gulpur sector to Dhallan sector. "Own troops fired with small weaponry from their positions," they added and said that further details are awaited.

Jammu-based army PRO Lt Col Devender Anand also said the helicopter violated the airspace around 12:10 pm. Official sources said a white-colour chopper turned back after crossing into Gulpur sector of Poonch and hovered for some time. (PenNews with input from UNI)
