Chitrakoot, MP, Sept 27 : Continuing his temple spree in election-bound states, Congress President Rahul Gandhi today kicked off his two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh with the 'darshan' of renowned Kamta Natha Temple in Satna District's Chitrakoot.
Mr Gandhi is scheduled to hold roadshows and address public meetings in Rewa and Satna during his visit. The Gandhi scion would leave from Satna to Rewa in bus as a part of the Congress' 'Sankalp' Yatra this evening. He would take night halt in Rewa.
Earlier, Mr Gandhi had visited the state capital on September 17. During his day-long visit, Mr Gandhi – who was projected as 'Shiv bhakt (devotee of Lord Shiva)' – sought blessings from Hindu priests before beginning his 14-km-long road show.
His visit to the Vindhya Region from today is being considered significant from political viewpoint. (UNI)
