New Delhi, Sep 16: Amid rising the prices of petroleum products in the country, the principal opposition party Congress on Sunday targeted the the government again and said the prices are heading for century.
Responding to the questions of the media on the continuous rise in petrol and diesel here at Party office, Congress spokesman Abhishek Manu Singhvi said . "Today, we are fast growing towards the hundred. I congratulate Modi for this. "He said that if this is going on, diesel will soon get a hundred.
Targeting the NDA Government over the issue, Singhvi said that during the UPA's time, the price of crude oil reached to $ 130 and remained at $110 to 115 for long time but the prices of these products were not so expensive.
He further said that the petrol is being sold at rate of Rs 91-92 per liter in two districts of Maharashtra. “This is the situation when crude oil is getting $ 68 a barrel in the international market”, he added. UNI
