New Delhi, Sep 15: Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who has been unwell for past few months, was on Saturday admitted to All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here .
According to AIIMS sources, Parrikar was admitted at around 1315 hrs at a private ward. The treatment of the Chief Minister is being carried out under the care of Dr Pramod Garg.
Sources said that the 62-year-old BJP leader, who has been suffering from a pancreatic ailment for the last seven months, was airlifted to the national capital by a special chartered flight.
The Chief Minister had returned on September 7 from the US where he was undergoing treatment for an ailment. However, he was working from his private residence near the capital city since then. He was again admitted to the private hospital in Candolim on Thursday. (UNI)
