CBI apprehends official of Ministry of Ayush in bribery case

New Delhi, Sep 15: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday apprehended an official of the Ministry of Ayush, for allegedly accepting bribe from a complainant.

"CBI today apprehended RK Khatri, Under Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, New Delhi having additional charge of Managing Director, Indian Medicine and Pharmaceutical Corporation Ltd, (under the Ministry) for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 10 lakh from the Complainant (C & F agent) for clearing his pending bills and allowing him to continue his work," the agency said in a statement here.

The CBI said that searches were conducted in the office and residential premises of the accused. Investigation is in progress, the agency added. UNI
