Cyberspace should be safe for children: Maneka

New Delhi, Aug 8: Stressing on making cyber space safer for children, Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi said on Wednesday that the government was ready to work with all the relevant parties in this regard.

'All possible measures should be taken to make cyber space safer for children. For this, the government is ready to coordinate with all the relevant parties,' Ms Gandhi said during a meeting in her office.

She said there was an urgent need to establish a Global Alliance which can identify and eliminate Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) from the Internet.

Among those present included Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) CEO Stephen Balkam, Javier Aguilar, representative from UNICEF, Ambika Khurana, Director of India Public Policy Division Netflix India, and officials of the Ministry. (UNI)
