President Ram Nath Kovind is coming to Chennai to see ailing DMK president and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the Kauvery Hospital on Sunday afternoon.
He is expected to fly back to New Delhi the same day after enquiring about Karunanidhi’s health with DMK working president M K Stalin.
The President telephoned Stalin today and enquired about Karunanidhi’s health which hospital doctors say is stable.
Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu has already visited Karunanidhi.
Former President Pranab Mukherjee called Stalin on the telephone a few days ago to enquire about his father’s health
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu also telephoned Stalin today. Naidu is visiting Chennai on Saturday.
