Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday said that Bharatiya Janata Party has no policy towards Pakistan and Kashmir.
"There does not appear to be any policy of BJP government towards Pakistan and on Kashmir. Congress would seek discussion in the Parliament over the border situation at the earliest possible opportunity," said Azad while addressing the border residents during his visit to forward areas along International Border.
He was flanked by AICC General Secretary in charge J&K Ambika Soni (MP) along with JKPCC Chief G A Mir and other senior leaders.
Azad also advocated the demands of border residents like plots in safer zones, special recruitment, reservation, better schooling, health and medical facilities, provision of fodder and enhanced compensation for the human loss and livestock etc.
Azad and Ms Soni said that party would forcefully raise these issues both inside the Parliament and State Legislature besides launching a campaign in the state for the justified demands of border residents.
He expressed concern over the repeated incidents of border firing and escalated tension with Pakistan.
