Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara on Tuesday visited Taj Mahal in Agra. The duo also posed for shutterbugs as they visited the iconic monument.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who welcomed Netanyahu and family at Kheria airbase in Agra, did not accompany him to Taj Mahal. Instead, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader stayed back at his hotel while the Israeli PM visited Taj Mahal.
In view of the Israeli prime minister's visit, the Taj Mahal remained closed for over two hours for tourists. The route from the Kheria Airport to the Taj Mahal was sealed and extra security arrangements were made.
