Charging the BJP of indulging in 'politics of vendetta' , the Congress on Wednesday asked the ruling party and Prime Minister Narendra modi to clarify on his various domestic and foreign visits by chartered planes during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister.
Addressing a joint press conference with Gujarat CLP leader Arjun Modhwadia, AICC spokesperson Abhishek Manu Singhvi charged the Central Government and the Haryana and Rajasthan Governments of indulging in a 'witch hunt' against Vadra.
'In the last 41 months, the Central Government and the Governments of Haryana Rajasthan have been indulging in a witch hunt against Vadra.
For the last 41 months, they have kept the pot boiling but have not found any proof,' Singhvi said.
Terming as 'baseless' the charges levelled against the industrialist by BJP leader and Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman, based on some purported e mails, Mr Singhvi said the lawyer of Mr Vadra had already denied any such e mails.
