Modi govt rehashing old Cong schemes claims Cong

Reprimanding the Narendra Modi led government with 'adopting ' all the UPA era government schemes as its own, Congress has charged that as many as 23 developmental projects initiated by the previous Manmohan Singh government have been repackaged, renamed and presented to the people in the name of 'progress' by Modi.

Congress spokesperson Rajiv Shukla said," Except the "Demonetisation "move, all schemes are like "old wine in a new bottle". During the Manmohan Singh reign , the same BJP stalwarts used to criticize these very schemes in and out but after coming to power, it is music to their ears.' 'The UPA schemes have now become NDA schemes with just the titles changed. So "Indira Awaas Yojana" initiated in 1985 has become " Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-gramin". "Nirmal bharat Abhiyan" goes on to become "Swachh bharat Mission". "National manufacturing Policy " takes the shape of much popular "Make in India". "No-Frills Accounts- Swaabhiman-" gets moulded into "Jan Dhan Yojana"."National e-governance Plan" gets the making of "Digital India" and the much touted "Beti Bachao , beti padhao" was previously "National Girl child day programme, " he said. Former minister of Planning and Programme Implementation, Mr Shukla stated, " It was the UPA government which had introduced the Aadhar card scheme and made 65 crore beneficiaries in its implementation stage. But this plan too was vehemently opposed by the BJP which said that terrorists too will get to avail of it and thus was a security threat to the country. But after holding office, Modi made Aadhar card mandatory for every citizen.' He said, "except the " demonetisation" move , nothing they say is their own , which of course turned out to be financial Pokharan for the country." 'Even on GST , this government did a turnaround.
