Senior Congress leader Manish Tewari today attacked both Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the ruling BJP over the JD(U) faction led by him formally joining the NDA today, saying what had been going on clandestinely over so many months had now come in the open.
'A marriage that had taken place in darkness is now being ritualised,' Tewari said commenting on today’s events in Patna where the JD(U), an erstwhile part of the grand alliance, passed a resolution at its national executive meeting to become part of the NDA.
The Congress leader described the actions of Kumar and the BJP as something which he had not brought any credit to either of them. The Congress had on Thursday participated in the Opposition rally called by rebel JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav who is opposing the action of Kumar to shake hands with the BJP.
Kumar had dumped grand alliance on July 26 and joined hands with the BJP-led NDA to form a new government.
