Nagaland COVID-19 infected cases rise to 127

Kohima, Jun 9 : Along with the five new cases of COVID-19 today, the total number of positive cases rose to 127 in Nagaland. With eight cured the total number active COVID-19 cases remained at 119. Nagaland Health and Family Welfare Minister S. Pangnyu Phom in a tweet informed that out of 333 samples were tested, of which five new cases of COVID-19 positive have been reported.

Of them four patients are tested positive in Dimapur Quarantine Center and one from Kohima Quarantine centre, Mr Phom said. In his daily briefing on COVID-19, Nagaland Principal Secretary for Home Abhijit Sinha said, all the positive persons are receiving medical care at the designated COVID-19 Hospitals. A total of 109 samples have been tested by Truenat, out of which 108 samples have tested negative and result of 1 sample is awaited.

As per the briefing, 4 persons are in the age group of 0 to 17 years, 117 are in the age group of 18 to 44 years and 1 case in the 45 and above age group. A total 5,367 persons are presently at facility quarantine and 7,855 persons are under home quarantine in the State, he added. (UNI)
