Kohima, May 23 : The Directorate General of Civil Aviation’s (DGCA) has announced that domestic flights will be resumed from May 25 with three flights scheduled to operate at Dimapur Airport, connecting the state with Kolkata, Imphal and Guwahati.
Official sources said as per flight schedules released by the DGCA, one Air India flight will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays, while two Alliance Air flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, starting May 25 and the schedule will be valid till June 30 next. However, the passengers and the airports will have to abide by the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Airport Authority of India.
As per the new rules, passengers have to reach the airport two hours before the scheduled time of departure and only those who have a departure in the next four hours will be allowed to enter the terminal building. Every passenger, with the exception of children below the age of 14, must have Aarogya Setu App downloaded in his or her phone, without which he or she will not be allowed to board the plane, sources said.
