Chennai, Sep 1 : Car maker Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on Sunday announced that it has registered a cumulative sales of 56,005 units for the month of August this year.A company statement here said while the domestic sales stood at 38,205 units, the exports were 17,800 units, making it a cumulative sales of 56,005 units August.
When compared to August 2018 sales, the domestic sales was 45,801 units (16.58 per cent sales less this year) and the exports increased by 10.48 per cent from 16,111 units to 17,800 units.
The cumulative sales in August 2018 was 61,912 units and it decreased by 9.54 per cent this year.
Commenting on the performance, Mr Vikas Jain, National Sales Head-HMIL said “In August, HMIL has continued to be market leader in Utility Vehicle segment, while maintaining its market share in Passenger Vehicles segment with strong performance
of GRANDi10 NIOS, VENUE, CRETA and ELITE i20.
